ricoh mp 3350 unable to detect in android connector after phone restore

i have a ricoh aficio mp 3350. it was setup to print from the ricoh smart device connector app on my android phone. other reasons required me to factory reset and restore my phone. now the ricoh smart device connector app cannot find or connect to the printer. i have tried using the IP manually input into the app. the printer still works with windows 10 computers. i printed from the app yesterday before the phone reset.

I dont think the MP3350 is on the compatible models for the smart device you can check on this link to see.

Yes it did, and today you download the new version of the connector and now it does not support the machine anymore.

At a minimum, Your machine requires the Postscript 3 language option to make it compatible.
If you're saying that it worked previously, then I'm assuming that it did.
Not that it will mean much to you (but it will to others), I've have used the Ricoh Connector App in the past on old machines like the MP201, and so long as they have PS3 installed, they worked despite not being on the "compatible device list", but it may have also been an older version of it. I currently have an SP C430 connected and printing with the App as well.
However, there are obviously no guarantees, and since your machine is otherwise functionally fine, then there is NO ISSUE with the machine itself - you have a Device/ APP compatibility issue that was never designed to work with this old machine, and BTW there are also TONS of other 3rd party Apps that will work, with a little trial and error.
You're trying to make a 2008 model machine play nicely with a 2021 App that was never designed to specifically work with it.
Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

Is there a possibility that yesterday you connected by IP address which does not use any of the SOP resources. It only requires that you are connected to the local WiFi network, not the SOP WiFi. Looking at what is in the title of this thread, it is possible that the phone restore erased the pass code needed to connect to the company network.

Hey Tim, I'm pretty confident we're talking about connecting his old MP3350 via the Ricoh Connector App to his android phone
No SOP's involved as far as I can tell.

I think you will find the MP3350 is no longer supported.

Can you see the web interface on your phone? If not check your wlan settings.

hello, if you suspect that it may depend on an app update, try to search the net, you could be lucky and find some site that keeps all the old versions of smart connector, in .apk format, I had happened to me with the go-pro hero3 app, I phoned support, and these assholes told me to change the go-pro, (used 3 times) then I found a site where there are all previous versions in apk format, and I fixed the problem

Be careful with this, especially on a device that accesses a company network. There are plenty of sites that offer APK downloads that are nothing but malware factories. If you are going to try and sideload, stick with a site that has some degree of reputation. APKPure seems to be a fairly reliable source for original APK files.

Connector App unable to register a Ricoh printer

Connector app unable to find the printer (MP201) showing Error message:
                          See attachment of screenshot:
question: the mp201 was previously registered by app via IP address Running well, even after printing something , I removed the printer registration On purpose, then Try to Re-adding the same printer, but failed, showing error message, no longer able to register it.
However the Same app can easily find another printer SP3510dn via IP address method.
the Other app from iPad still can print on the mp201. It puzzles me a lot.

Error Message from Ricoh Connector via IP address connection

Enclosed is the log file from the Connector for some advanced Tech Head review.
Error message pop up while connecting a new printer Sp C440DN via IP address.

Which side, from the printer or the App's configuration trigger the error message?
