[Error Code] SPC 252 sf Memory Overflow Error

Please be gentle with me as it's been 18 months since I retired and I have forgotten so much (a lot of it deliberately!)

The old faithful SPC 252 died so I upgraded to a SPC 252sf that fell off the back of a truck but it keeps telling me its got memory overflow when I try to print more than two pages of an automotive workshop manual.
Tried PCL 5c and 6 drivers and speed and resolution setting but makes no difference. What have I forgotten as the grey cells start to die off one by one?

    Cheers, Phil.

Do they have one? I had a look at the boards behind the rear panel and couldn't see a socket for one.

Ok well, try reseating all harnesses.
Other than that I've played my hand.

Is it possible that, whoever used it previously, used locked prints and didn't print or delete them, so the memory is full

try to make a nice sp801, from first to last, and possibly go over it with a firmware

When you go to the FAX function screen does it show 100% memory available in the upper right hand corner? I have had machines that failed to clear fax memory after printing a fax.

Can you give me a hint, where do you find locked print?

Found it! Panic over everybody, problem solved. Stopped trying to print from a NUC running Open Office and printed from the laptop with MS Office and all went well.
Thanks for your input everybody and nice to know I haven't been totally forgotten.
Now I'm going to wander off into the sunset again and hope you lot keep working hard keeping the world of commerce running and paying your tax that helps fund my retirement. 😋
                        Cheers, Phil
