    LD540c Put new toner in and it says toner empty replace toner

    Just put in a new Genuine OEM Yellow toner and the machine is reporting that its empty and to install the toner.
    Not very familiar with this machine. What can we check or do? LD540C
    I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.

          Let me count the ways:
          1. Bad toner pump or transport tube, replace as a set
          2. Bad RFID chip on toner bottle
          3. Bad RFID board that reads the RFID chip
          4. Clogged toner nozzle at the back of the toner bottle tray
          5. Bad toner end sensor

          FYI Ricoh model is Aficio MP C4000.

                  toner pump, or developer unit broken internal
                  check the enter hole of the the developer unit, if its empty=toner pump, if very full=developer unit broken

                      i had ricoh eco toner. on the box it said it fit that model. (this was the black). it fit fine, but said replace the empty toner. lucky enough right below where you insert the toner was a sticker telling the correct toner. after following the sticker it worked fine. simple check before you start replacing parts.
