    MP C2003 SC995-02

Please forgive me...I downloaded by mistake the wrong NVM Data (which belonged to another machine). Now the BICU has the correct Serial Number but in Factory Mode at SP 5-811-05 (Novita) I read the other Serial Number which i cannot delete and write the appropriate. How can i pass through this, any help please?

SP 5811-05 only displays the Serial number. You have the use SP 5811-04 to enter that number.
    From the service manual:
Turn the power on. SC995-01 occurs immediately.
Make a note of the number that is displayed in SP5-811-005.
Enter the number that you noted in SP5-811-004

What were you doing, trying to reset the total counter?

No, never! I just put a controller from an MP C2003 to an MP C2503 for diagnostic purposes, by mistake!!. Ididn't replace NVRAM'S. After that i downloaded the NVRAM from 2503 to 2003 with SP 5-825. Did some work but i found that there was a mismatch. So i returned back controller to the first machine. I see SC 995-02, with the correct S.Number, i can write the S.N again but, somewhere there is a mismatch : FACTORY MODE : SP 5-811-01 the S.N is R407286545, same at SP 5-811-04 (Rewritable) but SP 5-811-05 (NOVITA) has the S.N K560258510 from the other m/c which is not rewritable. Thanks for the responses!!

Controller or BCU? By part number the C2003 and C2503 controllers are not the same. Most likely what you need to do now is order a NEW NVram.

You can't reprogram the NOVITA. The only thing you can do is follow back NOVITA to other 2 serial number above it.

The equipment needed to do so is a few thousands dollars.

This has worked for me on many occasions when the same thing has happened to me: - download the nvram of another mpc2003 and download it to your machine with problems, if the download goes well you will have the sc995-01 and you can just change the sp5811-1 series and bride's sp5811-4. If it does not allow you to download the nvram on the machine with problems, go to a PC to read the .nv file that is on the sdcard and change the name of the file to the series that is on the girlfriend of your mpc 2003 with problems. Only then will you be able to download. The only drawback is that now you will have 2 MPC 2003 with the same series but the machine will remain operational.
