MP C407 print by phone user not allowed

i have set these up before, no problems, scan QR code and they are on there way
    not this time
the phone says cannot connect guest user not allowed? or something similar
even when i put in the Ip address it still cant connect
    wifi same thing
and i can seem to touch the phone to the screen anywhere either when it asks it still no connection
    wifi is configured
im on there internal wireless system...
is there a set up feature i can turn off security wise? to allow all users?
i scanned through the manual ran through some things , logged in with 806182## c...
any help with this would be most appreciated
    thanks in advance

Sounds like the owner of the C407 has set security to only allow approved individuals to access the machine. If they won't let you log in to their WiFi, your screwed.

i can log into the clients WiFi,, is there a deeper security setting on the machine? i can change the security settings in the web access, it didnt make a difference, Im thinking its in there security setting on there WiFi or internet access points, im checking today with there IT,
we installed the machine yesterday, got it off lease, so there's that. the previous owners may have some kinda lock on it.I can turn the WiFi on and off, it has a certificate...just drawing at straws here...
      thanks for the insight ,

Sounds like you have user authentication/user codes enabled. Especially if the machine has just come back off lease.

We have a C407 in the office & use the Ricoh connector app without any issues it works best printing via IP not using the QR or NFC option.

Re: MP C407 print by phone user not allowed

i just returned from the client
i updated FW, ran a new cat 6 cable , changed the security setting to level 0
one phone scanned the Qr code and worked, the other i had to manually load the ip address into it
but as of now its working
the security level is usually on 2 and i have no issues
i never have had to set it at level 0 but its working and thats all that matters
          Thanks for the ideas

Sounds like the previous owner was either the US Government or a federally regulated financial institute. Most likely had custom security settings. Unless you know how to modify custom settings, Level 0 is the only work around.

Not if "Custom" security is set to block Airprint.
