          SC 271 could have to do with Skew or mirror control based on Goose's Guide for older models

              Sorry, my mistake ! I was assisting a fellow tech. The SC code was SC272-03. Magenta laser drive command. Thanks for the responds from both of you. The solution was the BICU. Customer had forced the wrong magenta toner cartridge and was not detecting toner full. Tech could not remove bottle so force was used and broke the toner hopper cartridge in back. After tech replaced it, the SC code appeared. Problem solved . Something got scrambled in BICU board.
