    IMC4500 vs MPC4504EX?

I am looking at moving a few IMC4500 lease returns.
I have yet to see any of these and only have gone up to the 04ex series.
IS it basically the same engine?
    drums,toner"excluding the chips",fuser etc.
    anything to look out for?
    thanks in advance...

if i am understanding correctly, you want to move from the mpc4504 to the imc4500? so far the imc series has been good. though still fairly new to us. but they are easier to work on when replacing parts.

Yes, it is essentially the newest revision of the same engine. Parts aren't interchangeable, they've simply been made more accessible without removal of screws.

The PCU is bit different as the IMC using different kind of drum(without sub) but the rest i think is almost the same.
The IMC more to locking style without screws

Actually the IMC & MPC fuser units ARE interchangeable.

              ok.
So I guess my next question would be with the lower speed machines.
              the IMC200 AND IMC2500 series..
is it the same as the IMC3500 and IMC4500 series inside?
OR is it like the MPC2503 BEING a cheaper crapier version of the MPC3503/MPC4503 SERIES?
I hate selling any headaches..And only sold 2-3 of the mpc2503 originally thinking it was just a slower model..
              thanks

Yes, the same applies, the IM C2000 / IMC 2500 are the direct update from the MP C2004 / MPC2504. With the IMC range the end users can replace the PCDU, Fuser & transfer unit themselves (no tools required) However it is still more cost affective to strip the PCDU & just replace the PCU. Same with the transfer unit, just replace the belt etc.

                  ok.
i am told the mpc3503 toners will work on the IMC3500 series.
I know you cant use the higher speed toners on the low speed models ie..the mpc6003 toner will not fit"small tab" in the mpc2503 but powder wise they are ALL THE SAME..
SO QUESTION IS can you use a mpc3503 toner in a IMC4500 series..?
i dont have any to test the answer.
                  thanks

There should be a "Recipe" number printer on the toner label. If the numbers match, the powders are the same.

                      thanks
i guess what i needed to know is it a direct replacement,RFID chip, tabs on the head etc..
all the tricky rico stuff done..
i know it will work if i poured toner alone but i dont have any of the IMC series and sometimes can buy low meter units which have no toners installed coming back from lease..
i do have plenty of 03 empties..

Depends on the firmware version of the IMC, early firmware versions you could use 3503 toner, then Ricoh changed the firmware so you couldn't use the 3503 toners-message is dispalyed incorrect toner fitted with toner empty display-toner powders are identical- you cant even use 3rd party toner, a direct customer of ours had fitted 3rd party toner to one our devices, I updated the device and got the incorrect toner message.

well that depends on the chip revision^^

downgrading engine FW module will do the trick, too

                            thanks
IF I was a big dealer with lots of 03 toners i was able to use on IMC series and a FW update took that away I d be pissed for sure..
Ricoh is fucd up company more intent on its toner than their service/supply side..
