    Whining noise IMC3000

    Hello,

We have a customer whos IMC3000 is whining/squeaking periodically when printing out. I located the problem when I did a motor check sp5804.

It is the transfer drum motor K which is causing the problem. Can I solve this issue with WD40 or changing some small parts instead of swapping out the whole drum?
The counter is only at around 40k.

If it is only 40k, trim and reverse the lube bar, otherwise replace the lube bar in the black drum unit.
    I've proved mathematics wrong. 1 + 1 doesn't always equal 2.........

IMHO WD40 will cause more problems than it will fix. The WD stands for Water Displacement not machine lubricant.

Strip the black PDU down it is usually the metal lube bar roller bushings or charge roller that cause the squeak, & yes a tint drop of oil does the trick.
