Ricoh MPc5503 network unplug and plugged in only it prints

HI One of the rarest encounter i have ever come into is the ricoh MPC5503 locked print.

User complains when they print, they cant find their data populated on the printer. so they need to unplug the network cable from the copier and plugged back in again only they can see their names on the locked print from the copier.

I have done lots of troubleshooting steps and trying to isolate the issue but the copier seeems to be working fine.

What could have caused them the need to unplug the network cable from the copier and plugged back in to allow the copier to store their print data?
Their IT mentioned that they have already changed lots of network cable.

1 - try to check if moving the lan cable connector on controller if the led turns off by moving the connector

2 - replace the lan cable

3 - if present try to change the port switch, same times they fail and function poorly

4 - by-pass eventualy cable turret on the floor or on the wall, and connect the mpc5503 directly to the switch

as above I would crosscheck if you wiggle to network cable does the data light flicker. Maybe NIB is damaged. Is the device set to DHCP or static. If DHCP set to static as a test. Do a continuous ping from one of the end users PC. ping ip address -t and see if they are getting any drop outs. could be dodgy port

...and....I forgot...also check that the driver doesn't use the IPP port in windows, sometimes it makes a mess

Try "Normal Print" instead of "Locked Print" If everything is OK when you use ‘Normal Print’, the problem is probably not network related.

Check that the machine's IP address is not being used by another device, do a new printer installation from the beginning.

I had something similar years ago with a MP C2501. Turned out to be a 5 year old 36 port switch.

                what troubleshooting have you done?
are you using the ricoh print driver? as mentioned, is it set to a static IP address? sounds like you need to get more info from their IT.
