    MPC 3503 PCU on a MPC4504

    Hello

Sorry if this was just posted here, but i found nothing.

Is it possible to install a MPC 3003-3503 PCU (only pcu), on a MPC 4504??, or are there any pins to interchange or remove?.

    Thank you !

hi, the frame of those two PCU's are different shape, but in emergency you can tear down the drum, blade, and the other part, and put on 04 frame, and viceversa, the developer unit dont couple mechanically among themselves and the connector its completely different.
also the charge roller frame its different, but the roller and the cleaning roller are same

The problem is that i need a good frame for the Black Pcu , I have a customer where i rebuild now for the second time the Black Pcu, but he got still toner dusting at the front side and sometimes toner dust in the first paper tray, i thing the frame or some seal or bushing is gone .

So, your non-genuine parts are shit.
          replace complete genuine pcu.

classic problem of that series, they are the bushings of the development unit, moreover the toner and the developer will fall on the drawer lifting motor, blocking the spindle and generating sc501 codes, try doing this:
-(without changing the bushings) remove the gears, vacuum and clean well, apply thick grease around the shaft and put it back the gears.
remove both drawers, vacuum well, and apply L-shaped tape to the bottom corner of the top wall of the frame (on the side of the drawer compartment), just above the lift motors.
so that if it really (but I don't think) still leaks, the dust does not fall from the slot in the frame onto the motors and paper in the drawer

For what its worth i have in an extreme emergency been able to use a c6004 black pcu unit(just the drum unit) in a c6003. Health Clinic machine went down 3 hours from our office and i was already in the area but only had a c6004 drum unit so it was either try it and it didnt work or drive out the next day with the proper drum. no issues and the unit basically made its life. would not recommend trying unless in dire circumstances

I haven't personally had the opportunity to test this, but I made a note of a thread that I saw a few years back stating that the PCU's were interchangeable ???

yes if you are having developer leaking onto the lift motors more likely a developer than a drum unit. Had a unit just do this last week. As an added note you will probably want to pull out the laser unit also as it leaks through that section to get to the lift motors. if there is a pile under the motors there will be a pile there as well. Also be sure to turn on machine and verify operation before reattaching all the covers. i didnt have the high voltage board seated properly and had to tear everything apart again to reseat the housing. i was asking for trouble putting it all back together

Yes i saw this post, but the PCU's have the same parts (Pcu, blade, charge roller etc), but the housing is different.

Had this twice, but in this case the leaking is at he front side, even if for me it's not leaking , the customer sends a picture where you can see a little bit of toner dust in the first paper tray
