cant seem to get rid of this code. comes bk after like 200 secs resting the code. i recently changed the fusing belt and while i was change the belt i accidently broke the fusing pressure lamp. so i replaced the lamp and put it all back together ans since then ive been getting this sc555. lamp i changed was a 350w according to the manuel. wen i looked at the temperature of the pressure lamp it was on 82 degrees.

Sorry, your statement is correct, did you connect the themistor switch in the middle back of the fuser this is a easy one to forget to connect.

Can you try another complete fuser in it? Spare one or one robbed from another machine?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

If its warming to 82 degrees, the stats are OK. I think it may be the PSU. But thermistors are cheaper and easier to replace and they may cause the fault too.

You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.

cant actually get hold of another fuser unit otherwise i would have done tht. today i replaced the thermofuse and the thermister. switched the machine bak on nd sc did not appear. but bear in mind it may come back in after a few days.

and also i noticed sumfin bout the pressure roller lamp (350w) there was a broken wire inside the lamp when i looked carefully. i put me testers on boths ends and no continuity. this was already replaced so i dont understand why its broke again. am i blowin it o summat? if it cms back in then al replace the lamp.

I think you were just unlucky. Be very gentle with the lamps, the filament gets brittle with old age. Your first post sounded like you had reversed the lamps, I know I've done it!
