    Ricoh MP3055 Rotated Touch Panel

    Hi Guys,

Have a strange problem with my Ricoh MP3055 touch panel. The touch function has rotated itself 90 degrees anti-clock wise. As in to access the home button, you have to touch the middle right side of the panel and not the middle bottom side.

I tried to do a panel calibration and multi touch calibration, but it doesn't do a thing. The problem still exists. This is even after restarting the machine numerous times.

Is there a way to rotate the touch panel by 90 degrees in service mode or is there anybody that had the same problem and know how to fix it.

    Thanks

so everything is rotated 90 even the icons and the wording like check status? a picture may help. Have you tried calibrating using a mouse plugged into the operation panel? what is the screen showing is the x and y axis when calibrating? normally the x should be the horizontal axis and y should be the vertical axis. i dont see any settings that would cause the axis to swap like that. Start with the basics like calibrating with mouse/FW. If you have another machine you could try swapping a screen from. I would assume at worst case a factory restore of the SOP would correct an issue like this.

By restarting do you mean just turning the 3055 off then on with the power button? If so, that will not clear a touch panel problem. What you have to do is turn it off with the power button, immediately unplug the power cord and then hold down the power button until the power LED blinks. This allows a full discharge of the android capacitors. When you plug the power cord back in the 3055 will initiated a full restart.

If that doesn't correct the problem then there might be a setting that needs to be changed. I'm thinking something similar to with a Windows PC where you can move the location of the Task Bar; Bottom Top Left or Right

try to go up with op_panel fw, if dont update, (the machine recognize that its same version and not update) put another op_panel fw of another model with same panel hardware, and next re-load the his fw, if still not work you do better to buy another panel on e-bay or other
