    NEW IM5000 problem

greetings, if you can help with the new device. It's a ricoh IM5000, new, it works for both copying and scanning, it normally installs it on the computer, but it won't print. It shows that it has received the document, but it says that it is waiting.no error codes . I've tried various driver programs, and the same thing happens. If anyone has any advice, I'd be grateful.

I would try to update the firmware first (obviously)

then if it doesn't work, back up address-book and format the hdd, and try again, i check, there is not RTB about

Actually the first document shows that it is Printing not Waiting. So now the proper question becomes why has it not finished printing? To answer that we need more information:
      • What type of test page
      • What driver
      • What port
      • What is the resolution
      • What are the Graphics settings of the driver

ok, this is how things are, the test is a classic Windows one, which is offered during the installation of the driver program. The driver program is PCL5, PCL6 and PCL v4. On the display it says that the test is printing and that other files are pending. The device is connected to the TCP/IP network. I used the same address from the old device. The resolution is standard and I never touched it, while the driver is only set to the size of the paper in the cassettes. Scanning via SMB to the folder works normally as well as classic copying.

I had a doubt looking at the photo, maybe there is some incorrect setting in the user tools settings, maybe it can be solved with sp 5-801-printer, and restart

Which one of those three? Hopefully not the V4 as it should only be used with specific Microsoft software that requires it.

I asked about port not network. Windows has a very nasty habit of wanting to use the WSD port for network printing. WSD is responsible for most slow printing problems.

I always check if it's on the right IP address, because it can happen that it switches to wsd itself. That's why I used the installation program.and as i said i tried all three drivers and it's the same with each one.

Once again I am referring to the port used not the IP address used with the port. WSD uses exactly the same IP address as SMB. Now look at the port tab of the driver properties and see what fucking port is being used.

Clear all pending jobs. Set machine to DHCP. Reboot. With the machine on DHCP run the PCL6 driver installer for the IM5000 found at ricoh-usa.com. The Computer should find it on the network on the install and install the correct driver. Do a test page. What happens? Odds are it prints. Now backtrack and figure out where you messed up.
