    Reprinting copied documents

In case it can be done I’ll ask: customer has a document they copied a couple of weeks ago on their Ricoh mp2555 copier… apparently it was their only document. It was found in job history…. What I’ve found thus far is they are dead in the water unless someone knows of a way to reprint the copied document….
    thanks!!!!

If the Ricoh has Data Overwrite Security System installed and enabled, the job was gone in less than a minute after it finished printing. DOSS prevents company information from being pirated through the job history.

Even if it doesn't have DOS, your not getting that document back.

I would add to what others have said:
the data in transit on the HDD is encrypted in writing by the machine itself, with a unique key associated with that controller of that machine, there is no way to recover them even by connecting the HDD to a PC, and not even by mounting it on another identical machine, which will recognize it as new, therefore formatting it
This allows Ricoh to offer its devices to customers who require the most stringent security criteria, e.g. law firms and the army.

So the customer has lost the original document and expects you to fix it.
