    Luckily it wasn't neccessary to re-enter the values manually if you used the backup/restore function via sd card. For some reason the detection error did not re-appear after restoring the data so kind of a quick fix actually.

      I find it hard to believe that a firmware upgrade would cause such drastic problem.
      It's not that i don't believe you, i'm just asking myself how this machine would damage it's own tonerchip.

        I understand you, its bizzare, But all was ok until the firmware was updated.

        I did the print test and then updated the firmware
