MP4054 No Airprint to select after updating to latest firmware.

Have 2 mp4054 which did not have airprint as option to turn on under networking on web image monitor. Purchased firmware from our contributor here which to adress this, but after install there is still no option to turn on Airprint under networking.
Was there another firmware released that particularly populated that option?

If I remember correctly Airprint is not a network feature. It is an application. The application is configured through the SOP. The only thing you need from the network settings is the IP address of the MP 4054 to use with the device you are going to print from.

Its been a while since I did this. Here is my recollection. In web image monitor go to Airprint. First you need to make sure airprint is active. Then you have to go down to "Device Certificate" then put a check mark on Device certificate 1 and click on "Create". Be patient as it might take a few moments before the next screen pops up. On that screen set the validity period to the max which should be 10 years. Then click OK. The machine won't change screens for a few minutes. After it does click OK on the next screen as well. Exit out and reboot the machine. Now Airprint should work.

To the best of my knowledge, Airprint isn't an available feature on the xx54 or xx55 series, so I don't think he's going to be able to enable it in the WIM.
It's easy to check in the brochure in the printer specifications - which it isn't for those models.
For those that do have it, it's either listed as Airprint, typically under mobile printing or Direct print (which I believe is similar) under print resolution standard features.
That's the case on several Ricoh models for some reason (which I don't understand).
When mobile printing is needed, I have most of my customers download and use the Smart device connector app when there isn't a direct printing option, and often even when it is, they tend to prefer it.
        I think it's excellent.

You can make almost any printer print via Airprint using one of these Lantronix devices. I have a large real estate client where we used these devices in each location so their agents could print to the legacy printers they had.

you just want to print from your apple device, correct? generally if that device and the copier are on the same network. and you have downloaded the Ricoh app from the apple store, that should allow you to print. after you go through the configuration process on the apple device.

Thanks everyone for your input. I am going to suggest the Lantronix units to their IT or give them the option to upgrade to a newer unit that support AirPrint. They changed their EMR software and want to switch to ipads from windows.
I was thinking back when we access to RFG website I saw a bulletin that noted a seperate GW firmware upgrade made available to address the Airprint on XXX54 series.

              Thanks again everyone.
