[Error Code] RICOH MP C3002 SC120-00

I had an usual call from a usual client with an error SC 120
well ! i thought it will be an easy task
just clean the HP sensor and some mirrors
but it turned to a nightmare
the service say it's a Scanner Home Position Error
here is what i did :
checked and replaced scanner motor / HP sensor / harness / scanner board
timing belt, pulley, wire, and carriage are installed correctly

is there any thing else to consider ?
next time i will replace the exposure lamp and i know it's not the problem

When you turn the machine on, dose the scanner move to the home position?

Did you check the sensor and motor in input/output mode?

Does mean that you actually replaced the scanner head carriage wires? If so did you use a set of Scanner Positioning Pins to make sure the lamp carriage and mirror carriage were properly aligned? If not the front end of the mirror carriage could be hitting the frame before the rear reaches the home position sensor.

The scanner moves to home position as normal and the error appears after 20 seconds
No I didn't check them in input /output mode
But i already replaced the sensor

No i didn't replace the wire but i checked the motor is running normal and wire , pulley and carriage seems fine and normal

The client said the error occured suddenly when copying some papers via adf

Try it in I/O mode to see if the sensor signal is getting back to the board.

Was there a power failure between now and 2 months ago?

I don't think you mention wiring harnesses? (from the manual...)

Scanner home position error 1The scanner home position sensor does not detect the "OFF" condition

 Harness between SIO and HP sensor disconnected
                      1. Check the cable connection between the SIO board and scanner
                      motor.
                      2. Check the cable connection between the SIO and HP sensor.
                      3. Replace the scanner motor.
                      4. Replace the HP sensor.

My apologies if this looks redundant.
