Hi, is there anyway we could make access to ricoh scan to WIM\ Document folder any faster? Bec it's just damn slow.
is there anyway we could do network mapping the document server onto our computer like a network drives?

What Model Ricoh are you talking about? Are you asking about to scan to a Document Server folder and then retrieving it through WIM? If so which part is slow, the scan or the retrieval? Why can't you just do SMB scan to folder or Secure FTP? With most Ricoh models there is also scan to memory device.

yup scan to doc server and retrieve from wim.

scan to smb doesnt work and if using FTP will require fixed ip not recommended for laptop.
scan to memory device can be an alternative.

Once again what model Ricoh do you have? Depending on the model it might support SFTP or FTPS to Host Name. Also depending on model it might also support scan to cloud drives.

Regardless of model, scanning to the doc server and retrieving from there will not be an option unless you have the file converter board installed. Extremely limited download capability without it.

This is not firmware or software, but actual hardware.

Not likely, as you would know it if the option was there.

What are your reasons for not using smb, email or ftp?
there are clients who have very old machines and use external scanning programs...as happens with epson, hp, etc.

but you can use smb ftp or email for whatever reason,

Instead of using wim scan, you are better off downloading the twain, and any other scanner program.
