    Mp 9002 "doubled" letters

    Hello guys

I have a strange problem on a MP 9002, the problem occurs randomly.
Sometimes the letters seem "doubled" (see pics)
I've already changed from a working machine:
    Laser diode
    Laser unit
    Development unit
    Transfer unit
    Bicu
    Ipu
    Controller
    Pcu unit

Sometimes the machine works the whole day without problems, sometimes the problem occurs immediately for 10 or 20 prints and disappears again

    Any ideas? 20250617_101412.jpg 20250617_101358.jpg 20250617_101426.jpg

Hi, since I see that the splitting occurs vertically, I would check:

    1) if the drum and the metal axis has excessive play
    2) if the screws on the flywheel at the back are tightened well
    3) another opc drum

I presume they are LEF, just for the heck of it have you tried another Fuser.
Have to ask is it genuine toner?

Everything in this machine is original Ricoh,
I didnt try a fuser because i stopped the firs sheet during work and the problem was there before it reached the fuser unit.

Tried drum and axis and tightened the screews on the flywheel, but still same problem. Checked also the registry section, the strange thing is that the problem occurs randomly, not every day or on a regular basis

Is your sample an internal print of the counter sheet or a copy of it? The answer will determine where the problem is. The spacing looks to me like a double reflection off a mirror. In both the laser unit and the scanner Ricoh uses first surface mirrors. That means the reflective coating is on top. If a mirror has been installed where the beam has to pass through the glass you get a double image, one from the reflective coating and one from the surface of the glass.

Hello, you cannot observe the direction in which it is distorted, if it distorts in the exit direction of the paper, you have to check the registration of the registration motor, cylinder belt, if the distortion is in the other direction it is the laser laser motor, It can also be electrical noise, charging crown or false contacts in the laser
