    MP2555 lines on counter sheet

Getting lines on pages including counter sheets. Replaced PCDU and fuser unit. Lines remain. Surely look like drum lines to me. Could the laser unit cause this? See attached scan.

Is that a counter sheet print or a copy of the sheet? If it is a copy you have dirty optics. The indication is that the line does not go to the edges. Otherwise I agree with luca.

That is the actual counter sheet.

I will definitely check that tomorrow when I go back.
I took the PCDU and fuser that I pulled from customer machine and installed them in my test machine and no lines.

When changing the pdcu and fusor, the first copy already comes out the Stripe?

Laser problems, at least in my experience, cause no image, not lines so I don't think it's laser. Did you rebuild the PCDU or did you use one someone else rebuilt? Was the cleaning blade replaced during the rebuild? When I rebuild these guys I vacuum the heck out of everything while I have it taken apart. I also take a screwdriver with a rubber-coated handle and bang the development housing (not too hard) and a lot of times small chunks of toner will come out. These little chunks can cause problems. You also get a lot more toner out doing that. I like to thoroughly clean these things out when doing a PM. That's what I'd look at. Cleaning blade and small clusters of toner.

                Any update?
                I'm sorry dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I have not been back yet, but I took both the PCDU and the fuser I tried were both from a working machine at my office to test this.
