Ricoh IMC4500 System function currently not avaialble

We moved a customers Ricoh to a new location. IT guy called me and they cant open the webpage of the copier.
    • 503 Service not available.
    • I can ping the machine.
    • It acquires its correct IP via DHCP.
    • Scans fail.
    • When I try to open System Settings or Printer Settings, I get a screen that states "This function is currently unavailable. Please try again later".
    • If I keep trying I eventually can get in and look at the network settings, change the ip address and do all the normal networks changes. but still cant print, scan or bring up the webpage.
    • No other obvious issues
    • Going to try a F/W update Monday morning.
    • I don't typically deal with Ricohs but never saw this on a Konica either.

Unit may may not have been shutdown properly creating memory corruption. Run the following service programs:
    1. SP5801-010 Web Service. Deletes the network file application management files and thumbnails, and initializes the job login ID.
    2. SP5801-011 NCS All setting of Network Setup (User Menu) (NCS: Network Control Service)
This will clear those areas of memory on the main frame. If necessary you can also clear the android memory of the SOP by doing a proper shutdown procedure.

Its better to make it STATIC IP address. Check your dns, subnet and gateway too. For scan fail, usually firewall block it

        Nailed it!

On a Konica, I would have done a network initialization which probably does about the same thing.

Thanks for the quick response and great resolution. Customer is happy again.
