Does the paper make it out of the cassette?

Also, how many clicks has it done? It's fairly common to get a dev leak into the tray feeds at roughly 2 million pages, causing it to be very difficult to turn. Take the feed assembly out and try to turn it manually and, obviously, see if there's dev all over it!

Oh, and what is the jam code eg J063 on the screen?

The only issue I know of with misfeeds on the RT43 was when it was connected to a B140 series. If the RT43 was manufactured before July of 2003 it was not compatible with the B140/142/163/228 due to the print speed being not supported.
The fix for this was to install a new eprom on the paper deck Part # B4735151 as per tech bulletin B473-004. It should be working with your 1075.

As a matter of fact, you should do this first.

The RT-43 does not have any clutches. If you follow the above advise specifically about the tourque limiter and clean and sand all the one way shafts (BTW there are at least 5 one-ways) this is a great LCT have seen them go 6 million with no major problems, also check that the tray is perfectly level and the door switches are good. One last thing is to pull out the reg unit on the machine and check the two black mylar plates B065 2665 and B065 26675

Agree with jarhead2020! the 1 way bearings on the RT and the reg guides in the main machine will cause major problems if not replaced.

Some of the earlier models had a speed switch on the motor that had to be flipped when using with the 70 or 75ppm feed speed machines. Also had a bad motor causing intermittent jams
