problems with color, ardf and glass top scans -printing and photocopy in color and black and white ok. color scanning only - black and white scanning ok.

I can't recognize any problem on this 5dpi sample image - can't you just upluad the original file somewhere?

Still I can't really see how "even" the background is over the entire image - a bent scanner frame can cause problems like this or the CCD values have been resettet for some reason (you can compare with the data from birth sheet). Besides this the MPC2050 is pretty old so the scanner lamp might have lost too much of it's initial peak brightness.

Have you tried cleaning the optics? There's likely enough of a film on them that the colour scan feature sees it as part of the image. Hold a flashlight up to the optics at an angle and you'll likely see a haze or film to clean off the mirrors.

Printer and copy do not have the same calibration, did you do the calibration in the machine menu? , User tools, maintenance. Did you clean the laser?

100 % that there has been a memory clear performed or something like that and the settings are out of whack.
Without the non-default sheet it may be tricky to get that back.

And Mr. Tullio.......why not use that C2050 to scan a document and upload a PROPER PDF SAMPLE? I mean.... Seriously
