    Ricoh MP C6003 mottled output

    Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a toner transfer adjustment or quality adjustment on the Ricoh C6003? Replaced drums and developers but the screens and solids are not that great.
The Ricoh SP C 840 we service appears to have a very similar print engine and the quality off of that is great.

    -Thanks

Clean ID sensors and run ACC. Makes a big difference. Also, make sure driver settings are correct for the media.

If the problem is while copying, you might need to clean all the optics.

I did already clean the ID sensors. It seems like it needs more transfer voltage but I don't know if that's adjustable.
I guess the next thing is to change the transfer belt assy.

If the optics are dirty, dust or filming on the mirrors, then when the MFP does a white reference reading when turned on or when coming out of sleep it will shift the entire grey scale to the light side. Turn the machine off, remove the platen glass and properly clean the optics. When the machine is turned back on the the white reference will no long appear darker than it should and the grey scale will go back to normal. 99% of the time when I have had light image complaints on color machines, that is all that needed to be done.

Can you post a sample of the issue issue ? it it on ALL colours?

Could be damp/poor quality paper especially if the 2nd side is better than the 1st.

Did you fit new PCU & Dev units!?

I could have a problem with the PTR unit if it is in all colors. Many times by changing the roller the image recovers a lot of quality.

Don't underestimate the laser unit, I found some toner on top of it for old pcdu units, and it wasn't enough to insert the cleaning stick!
