    Ricoh IM550 Paper jamming

    I have a copier that is jamming when making multiple copies out of tray 1. I try tray 2 and copier works just fine. I have replace tray 1 feed tires and separation roller/swap paper tray/ replace the Drive Feed Assembly #M2811126. Still having same problem. Is it possible that the lift assy is not working properly. It Is lifting paper up and stops once senor detects paper. looking through the back of copier can see first sheet feeds then paper feed tries to feed next sheet. you can see feed rollers turning but paper not feeding up.

      what jam code does it give you? how many prints did you make?
      have you tried to see what happens to reverse both the cassette and the complete green "block" with the 2 rollers from one tray to the other?

          no code just says jam remove paper. went into service mode look at paper jam count 5-7504-28 says tray 1 10 paper jams rest were at 0. I did clear count then tested copier after that and that is where it says jams are at. like I said swap paper tires/cassette tray /paper drive assemble. I going to swap the motor lift assemble hopefully that fixes problem only thing left.

              found the problem spring missing from paper feed assemble it puts downward pressure to make sure stays in contact with paper. Part #M2812849. 3 days of troubleshoot for a spring missing. First time working on this model even the MP501 has same setup but never had to miss with the paper feed rollers.
