[Error Code] MP C406 - "Check Machine Structure"

I have this machine that I picked up for resale.
It works perfectly, but I receive this message when trying to use the regular Copy, Scan or Fax Apps: "Connection with the machine has failed. Check machine structure"

The Classic Apps, as well as the "Quick" Apps work fine.

I've updated the Firmware. Removed and reinstalled the Apps, and also updated the SOP operating system. Nothing changed.

Anyone seen this before and have any other suggestions for me?

    Thank you!

Open all of the paper trays, does the message go away?

I've seen similar. Things that it could be related to are trying to connect to @Remote through an external RC Gate, trying to connect to a scan server or an Ifax server. Could be something as simple as trying to fax forward or connect to an external accounting system.

        Maybe I wasn't entirely clear.....
The Apps never entirely open. This message appears instead as the App is loading.
I press "Exit" and then use the Classic Apps, or the "quick Apps" instead, and all is good.
It ONLY happens with COPY/ FAX/ SCANNER. All other apps work properly.
I have all RC gate, and Remote support stuff either disabled or Uninstalled.

I could easily just uninstall these Apps and forget about it, as I much prefer the Classics anyway, I'm just interested in trying to find a solution.

ASince a large portion of our SOP installs were to existing customers, we always setup the classic apps as most costumers already knew how to use them. Also gave you the 10 key pad fore entering SP.

It does sound like those apps are computed. What about updating the all the apps that are not inc in the package firmware.

Also there are also many aps & firmware files newer than contained in the .pkg file.

That's weird timing, we've just took a 306 back and the copy app does this. After a while a second window 'unfortunately, copy has stopped' shows up. In the past I've reinstalled apps such as these but it's also worth checking if there was ever a card reader installed or something similar - That can do all sorts of daft stuff to certain apps

I assume that was meant to say "corrupted"? I have all of the apps separately (outside of the package Firmware) and have removed and reinstalled all 3.
I don't have the ability to manually confirm whether they are latest versions , but after reinstalling, when I run the application update within the SOP SP mode, the only available update for ANY APP on the machine is for the Scanner App that I've reinstalled, so it would seem that they are current.

Over the years, it's amazing how often I've run across an issue in the field, and seen someone else had posted the identical issue at almost the same time.
I've actually had this machine for a while. I've removed a lot of card readers of late, so there's a very good chance that it had a one attached to it. I just can't remember.
Whatever the case, as stated, I've reinstalled the apps with no luck
