Ricoh opc drum compatibility imc/mpc 3003

Hello All,
I had an opportunity to work for a customer which the ricoh mpc6003 black pcu which was drawing vertical lines due damaged PCR and drum. I found out the drum that came with the printer was a Ricoh imc 3000 opc drum. So how does imc drum fits in to mpc6003.

I'm afraid not at all - I think the OPC part is the same but the end caps/gears are different

The end caps of the imc fits into the moc6003. I don't know how they did it. I'll send pictures

OK - so MPC6003 is different then MPC3003? Didn't know that but we only have a very few MPC6003 out there. I also heard that ricoh did some changes on the drum caps/gears but I recall this for the MPC3004 series.

A friend of mine told me there a new models of mpc3003/6003. Don't know how true is it.

It's probably true - ricoh definitely made some changes with the drum/gears, I wasn't shure wich models/series was affected.

He told me new series of mpc3003/6003. But don't know how to check if its a new or old series.

Look on the serial number plate for date.
