They recycled it for the MP 9002 model, the same reference. But with improvements in wiring.

Its good idea anyway replace togheter the thermistors, the two White thermoswith protection, when too old, internaly can have a burned contact, and generate It Electric disturb that give strange Fuser code....this operation its applicable on all Fuser type, that use these component

It has been an eternity since I've seen one of these, but if I recall, you could get an sc543 if you put the lamps into the wrong holes in the fuser during a rebuild. Was fuser rebuilt recently?

it shouldn't be possible, they have different shapes, and cable lengths, and different colors, just by deliberately forcing, but one would realize, that there is something wrong (?)

I know they have different color terminals on the rear, but if memory serves me, the shapes and lengths are all the same, at least in North America. It seems to me I actually made that mistake once and started marking the front and rear terminals to correspond to the hole it went into on the holders. I think some of the holders had the color code on them and some did not. I don't know, I'm getting forgetful, too many years of snorting toner will do that to you.

I always depended on the diagrams in the service manual. I found that always doing PMs by the manual prevented mistakes. As for other parts of the world, the only thing that is different is the voltage of the lamps.

We had one Aficio 700 that kept intermittently throwing fusing warm up errors. I worked mostly on dictation system and computers but our copier tech asked to take a look at. What I noticed was that the lead colors on the 2 lamps were different even though the parts catalog said they should both be the same. After they had cooled enough to handle, I checked the markings on the ends expecting to find on was the wrong wattage. They were both 550 watts but one 230 Volt instead of 115 Volt. Apparently it came out of the factory that way.

It is not the first time that there are failures like this.
Years ago, when I met the MP C2000-C3000 models, when ordering replacement parts for the rollers of the Fusion Unit, the references of two pieces were more indicated in the cutting, and I always had to have a note to remind me of that. Luckily Ricoh rectified the file.

it is not really easy to mount them wrong, but you can see that the wires are a little tight, at the beginning I made some notches with a felt-tip pen on each connector, but now I go to memory

Excuse me, I expressed myself badly.
What I meant is that in the part diagram, there were 2 pieces that had the references misplaced (exchanged). When I asked for one, I got another, and vice versa.
