    IMC3000 ADF problems

    Hi,

Customers experiencing problems when scanning for example a document with more then 100 originals
The speed it to high, what happens is that some originals as a result of the speed outside the stack of paper on the delivery tray ends.

annoying, because the origials are numbered and must stay in te right order.

scanning in an higher resolution is no option because the file becomes to big for sendingit to email.
Is there another way to slowing down the scanner speed while maintaining the document size . . ?

    anyone?
    thanks in advance

If the main problem is the stacking in the receiving tray of the doc feeder, that is where you need to concentrate your effort. Either some type of end stop to keep the paper from going to far or a Mylar strip hanging down from above to add a little friction to the top of the paper like found in the jogger fences on some finishers.

Try setting the machine for mixed originals.

and change SP 6-901-002 to "1" for "Higher Stackability"

I change the DF setting from 'productive' to 'silent' mode this slows down the document feeder pick up speed & also reduces the amount of jams.

        1. Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center.
        2. Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] () icon.
        3. Press [Machine Features].
        4. Press [System Settings].
        5. Check that [General Features] is selected.
        6. Press [Silent Mode].
        7. Press [On].
        8. Press [OK].
        9. Press [Exit].
        10. Press [User Tools] () on the top right of the screen.
        11. Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center.

I had this issue before. I just increased the scanning DPI from 300 to 600. that slowed it down.

I think the silent mode makes more sense (if available) since you can stick with your prefered quality settings. If that's not an option I'd also try some modding - I have my "surprise box" with funy mylars, actuators etc. for these kind of jobs
