mpc307 waste toner

    mpc307 waste toner

    I have one the says waste toner almost full to call service. I replaced the disposal tank but the message does not clear. I reset the pm counters. Cleaned the sensor. I blocked the sensor with paper and it did not read full. I am not sure if it says full right away or after a few copies. I am guessing it says near full by a copy count. Any suggestions would be welcome before I change out the sensor and update firmware. I never have had this problem before. Thanks

      It could be a defective waste toner bottle set switch.

          Check the waste toner full sensor operation using input check in SP mode.

          Also seen the flag knocked off the bottle or packing tape still attached.

              You have to do 3701 for the waste tank to make the message go away. More Griffin stupidity.
              It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                      went back and updated firmware and replaced sensor and it took care of it. I did both at the same call so I am not sure which one actually fixed it. I am just happy it finally reset.
