yeah i knew about setting the time for firmware. just wasn't aware of the usb being an option. i kinda figured it might only be an option on the new line of the IM series.

drive should be less than 4gb

Could you please let me know how to download the firmware package file version D0BL5595V for the RICOH IM C3000 printer? If you have the download link, Iโ€™d really appreciate it if you could share it with me.

            Go to Ricoh website.
Driver/ download section for your model.
Download the FREE firmware update tool and run it.
            Done

Why would you need an old temporary FW, when the latest is 8.04 (D0BL5571E)?

                Hello ridgemill,

I would like to explain the history of this machine:

I attempted to install the PaperCut MF Embedded solution on the machine. However, it was not supported properly. After the installation, the Copy and Scan function icons did not appear. As a result, I removed PaperCut MF from the machine.

Following the removal, the machine displayed the error message SC637-001. This issue was resolved by re-plugging the hard drive, and the machine is now functioning correctly without PaperCut MF.

Later, I attempted to update the firmware to D0BL5571E using an SD card. However, the update failed and the machine displayed a 74 Error during the process.

Currently, the machine is running firmware version D0BL5551V (Version 7.61). According to the service manual, a firmware reset is required to resolve this issue.

Kindly assist with providing the reset firmware.

if reset firmware is what I think it is, it is not available for distribution. It is for regional support personnel to use on a support visit. Try extracting the individual modules from the Package file and update using them. Select every one of the modules.

the USB Drive works. However Savin/Ricoh are finicky on name brand/quality. I have generic drives that it won't even recognize, but it recognizes my Kingston.

It could be the way the USB drives are formatted. Try formatting them with MiniTool Partition Wizard as FAT32. Windows File Explorer likes to use NTFS which the version of OS used for the Ricoh main frame does not like. The Panasonic SD Formatter might also be able to handle USB.

I use the SD Card Formatter that Ricoh links from the TSRC. It comes down to thumb drive brand or quality. Some thumb drives I can print/scan to. Some I can't. 4GB.

Try the free version of MiniTool Partition Wizard. I have found it to be a much more versatile format utility after Ricoh quit providing the Panasonic formatter. IMHO SD Card Association utility is a piece of crap.
