I believe this a MP2550. Can I put in a Type 1027 PCU and calibrate on this one. thanks

You can indeed.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Actually SP 2804 New PCU check needs to be turned ON and SP 2801 does not to be ran. When SP 2804 detects a New PCU it will automatically run developer initialization and clear the PM counters.Comment

If it's a brand new PCU then what Slimslob said is 100% correct. Just slide the unit in and the machine will take care of the rest. Best to make sure the machine is fully on and done with the start up cycle when doing so.
If it's a good 2nd hand unit then you can run SP2801 developer initialization.
