    IMC2500 SC724-70

I have an issue with a internal finisher (SR-3250) its coming up with SC724-70
After jamming a few times it errors, seems to be the lift up/down mechanism that is causing the problem as it will only reset if I manually lower the tray down.
After that the tray moves back into the correct position.

Everything seems to work fine as during copying the tray moves up and down a couple of times but then shows a paper jam but wont clear until the tray is again moved down.

I have very little experience with these internal finishers so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have the manuals and access to Ricoh service portal.

I don't have much experience witht hese too. I think I had a case (not the same model) where some gear and or gearrack got knocked over one or two teeth so the entire thing had home position issues.
Can you check this mechanism via output check and try and listen for some perhaps "unhealthy noises" or funny behaviour.

You should remove the covers and check the movement, because there are small deadening shims that get damaged or lose thickness.

the machine has only done a couple of thousand prints/copies only installed a few weeks ago with new finisher.

Ive removed the covers and checked all movement of gear assy all looks fine.
Its after say 20 copies when it should probably drop down a touch to move out of the way for additional copies it just stops and shows a jam

could be the internal gathering roller that has become soft, and makes a mess, if so you can use the external rubber of an af03-2094 or af03-2090 to replace it, it works better (tested), it is done from above, only by disassembling the plastics, you just need a little dexterity
