Can't get 5193 to 1 for EFI and 5895 to 0 for disable. I've changed them and they keep resorting back. I was told this unit had a Fiery but was removed because client had one already.

Re: Pro c5100s Enable Fiery-No Bit Change
If it was completely removed then the Giga bit ether net card required for the C5100 to connect to the Fiery controller has probably been removed as well.If it cannot see that there is an external controller, you cannot enable one. With no external controller enabled , you cannot disable the GW controller functions. -
Re: Pro c5100s Enable Fiery-No Bit Change
I installed the gigabit card from the client. The unit recognized it being installed because had to remove so they could use the nic for printing until I can figure it out. At some point had an efi install manual but it's disappeared.
Do I need to install the gig and define the interface settings before making the changes in sps?Comment

Re: Pro c5100s Enable Fiery-No Bit Change
Thank you. I should have provided that it is the E-42B. I have found the installation manual and followed all the instructions but it still won't allow me to change the bit switches. Nor is it giving me the Fiery icon on the screen.Comment

Re: Pro c5100s Enable Fiery-No Bit Change
The fiery and gig card look to be communicating, getting the dreaded "check printer power..." Ricoh manual says to disable the nic card and change the external controller setting, which the unit is not allowing me to do. EFI install only says to change 5895-002 which again it won't change. Had to go to another location so walked away from it for today. There's got to be something I'm missing and when I find it I'm going to kick myself for not realizing it sooner.Comment
