[CQ] IMC 3000 offset on label bypass printing

Hi, have 2 IMC3000 on same network same pc, 1 prints labels from bypass fine, other offsets, identical tray and paper settings, pc seems to overide any settings made prior to printing either on pc or copier, if labels copied on device with thick paper selected works fine!!!
Both have equitrac on, even trying adjusting temp on faulty device changes nothing when coming from pc, labels seem to travel at normal speed through bypass on both devices yet one works one doesn't, fusers swapped no difference.

With normel speed you say normal "slow" speed that is appropriate for thick paper or labels or does it run as fast as it does for normal paper?
If it runs slow that'll be OK - in this case I'd assume that the registrations adjustment for the bypass has not been done propely.
Select trimming area test pattern and run a test print from bypass with the label and proper paper type settings and see if the margins are even.

      Hey!
I had similar problem, same-same but different.

The culprit was old transfer roller which caused problems intermittently, one print was fine, other was out of center, etc... What ever I did, I just couldn't center the image.
It caused plenty of rage. So the next day I brought everything, and by the accident first thing I've grabbed was the new transfer roller. It solved the problem instantly.

      Maybe something to check out.

both devices run same speed and same settings yet one works fine other offsets by that i mean rubbs off from print job (labels)

Print the non default settings on both machines. Odds are they are different. And it will be a user setting that is different not an SP setting.

Printer Features > System > Tray Setting Priority, try set to Machine settings or set to driver command, whatever works.

It needs to be exactly the dame as the other machine that works properly.

Yup, this is likely the answer. The other thing might be going into service and playing with thick fusing temp. It is also easy enough to swap fusers on these two for testing.

Sorry, you've swapped fusers and played with temp already, my bad. Is the customer using M$ Word for the labels? You may have to create a "printer" queue which defaults the bypass as heavy stock and default tray. The fact that they both seem to be running at normal speed and one works while the other doesn't seems to indicate the bad one is normal and the good one coincidentally is lucky to be working with labels (but really shouldn't be) Labels or thick stock should be slowing the paper movement.

Here's another thought. Print to both machines with nothing in the bypass. The red light should pop up and a message of what the print job wants in the bypass for media. It should either be labels or thick paper for media needed. If it asks for plain paper, you need to correct the print driver settings.
