Hello guys,
My boss sent me to a service call the other day to work on a Lanier PRO 8210S which I have never worked on before or even seen one. We are a Kyocera non-authorized dealer and I have never worked on a Ricoh machine before. I spent too much time googling it after work hours and nothing. I really hate it when my boss sends me to work on non kyocera machines ARRRGHHH!!!
...I hope someone can point me in a direction on how to fix this stapler issues.
The original problem is that the machine is indicating "ADD Staples" even though the staple cartridge does have staples. When I open the finisher main door and close it again, the machine does it own cycle thing and I can hear the staple unit moving back and forth on the rail and then it try to staples 4 times and then immediately throws the error on display "ADD STAPLES". I tried researching it on Ricoh Service manual and I can't seem to find anything about the staple unit or any troubleshooting information for it.
P.S. I did removed the black and green cartridge (holder) from the main staple unit and removed the clear plastic container that holds the staples and inspected it. I even installed a new staple container and put it back into staple unit and let it run it own cycle thing and throws the same error. The only thing I can think of is maybe the black and green cartridge itself is broken? The main stapler unit is very expensive like $700 and my boss wants to try to fix it rather than order the whole staple unit so here I am struggling
. Thanks in advance!!!!!!
