Hey Folks, I have a MP C4504 that is locked up with the fax blue light on and down to 30% memory in the Fax app... Nothing will work on the machine unless I take out the Fax Option... I cleared all the Files , Ram , and did Factory restore in the Fax Service Mode....Did Full Machine Memory Clear, Reformatted HD, an replaced the Fax option... NOTHING! Still stays locked with that blue light on the fax display with 30 % memory ... Whatta you think??? Why does it work with Fax Option out ??? Thanks for any help !!!

Re: Ricoh MP C4054 Fax Memory Locked up Machine
That's weird, does it stick on 30% even after clearing everything via SP?
Does the customer use any fax forward->mail/smb? I know you can set it up in a way that the machine can keep the RX files after forwarding (instead of free up the memory) and this way it will flood it's memory.
It's also possible that the destination for fax forwarding has become inaccessible - same issue can occure (it should display a little error message in on the lower/left display border though).Comment

Yeah true, I think there's a sub SP (mail tx data or something like that) in the hdd format SP mode in case you can't restore the forward destination.Comment
