Yeah that's true so maybe it's a toner issue after all, this can also happen with original ricoh prodicts every now and then. You can try and use toner from a different batch and run at least ~200 full bleed pages to cycle old the old toner.
You can try and bump all standby-related temps for the upper/lower fuser roller (1-107-001 onwards).
If you bump the target temps while using plain paper just bump ALL "plain" related SPs.
Also make shure the toner density is not too high.
In addition to the temperature adjustments, you may also want to increase the fuser rotation times.
