    MP2852 light copies

    Hi,

i have one mp2852 that i have done full PM and machine was working ok but after making some copies they are coming out lights. I already change the PCU and i have the same problem. i have put a new pcu also and they are coming ok then start making the same. i clean the toner hopper also, im using original toner. when i force toner supply the copies are coming ok but again same problem.
any other ideia what can cause this?

    thanks

Have seen a few of these problems, it appears to be a lack of developer material in the new units. If you top it up slightly and reset the developer they appear to run O.K

So if I read this correctly you changed the PCU twice and in both cases the copies start of clear but after a bit the blacks start fading. Also you did a complete PM

        Try this
        1) Have you fully serviced your laser unit?
        2) have you fully serviced and cleaned your optics including the white reference strip?
        3) what is your Vsg, Vsp, Vt and Vts reading? These are important for maintaining good print quality.
        4) is your Drum and developer brand new? If not replace with brand new original

Give some more information after you try these

        All the best friend

Have you split the unit and looked at the dev roller ?
We are getting this with the new style units and have to just add a small amount of developer to them all !!

If the mag roller is ribbed, it's probably coated? I take scotch bright and clean the mag roller and the run the DV initialization again. When it's coated it looses it's brush.
            I hope this helps !

2 areas to check. Dirty shield glass and dirty optics

its happen to me, one time was the toner revolver motor that loose force, one time was the revolver that all ramshackled, i suggest you in case of revolver on that specific model replacement, that buy it new, it's cheap, and it's a part that the customer abuses a lot (LOL), it's better to put it back complete

If the triangle on the counter page looks like a proper black I'd focus on the scanner.

Besides dirty optics a bent frame can cause quality issues.
Finally you might be able and cheat yourself another default setting for the copy window to improve the density.

Question: Was this an issue before you did the PM ?

Did you use a type 1027 pcu as a replacement?

I had suggested the toner motor, thanks for giving the feedback
