sr3270 not stacking sheets to staple

Good morning all

we have a sr3270 back in our workshop that had the trailing edge fence replaced ( the guide that rotates to hold rear edge) now for some reason when
you ask it to do a staple job the stapler wont move to the rear and the guide wont rotate so the copies slide down into the booklett area.

we are not sureif this is the original fault and thats why the guide was brocken looking for any advise .

when you reset the finisher all parts move out of there homes then return to there correct positons.

Im thinking it could be a board fault

I wasn't able to focus on the problem well without seeing it with my eyes, however, try updating the firmware first

Can you tell us what model MFP it is/was attached to. Makes it easier to pull up documentation.

It was attached to an IM C 2500 one of our engineers fixed it today it was caused by the drive gears at the front of the machine being a couple of teeth out which made one of the cams slightly lower at the front after re timing all the problems were fixed.
