Ricoh MPC4504 Cannot Access Service Mode.

Hi, I've got a bit of a strange one, with a machine that I am looking at.

If I go to access service mode, it will not appear no matter how many times I insert the code or hold the button, nothing it wont appear. but when I got to access Factory mode it works straight away.

I've have done firmware updates on the printer, re-formatted the HDD, Factory reset and tried every other service mode code there is. but it will not show.

Don't suppose anyone ever seen anything similar?

Service mode can be locked in Admin settings

Service mode lock? Thats turned off aswell.

Have you tried Factory resetting the sop screen in android mode

I have not, and to be honest. That is something I've never had to do before. is it a simple thing to do?

Sounds like some service tech "hero" may have changed the SP mode access number.

You could try using 107107.
I've heard of several occasions where it has been changed to a version of the old access procedure and this has worked (because the code has to be 6 digits)

Otherwise, to the best of my knowledge it's a 1-time ONLY change, only and no way to restore it - other than maybe NvRam replacement?

Sounds like someone has changed the service mode entry code.

If this is the case the only way to reset this is to replace the NVRAM.
