MP 501 Paper tray 2 dont lift paper

    MP 501 Paper tray 2 dont lift paper

    Hello guys

    I have the same problem with two MP 501 on different customers
    It seems like the paper tray 2 didnt activate properly the paper type sensor on the right side , and remains down.if i touch the tray or push a little bit the tray lift motor starts to work and it recognizes the correct format.
    If i close the tray it remains a bigger gap on the sides than Tray 1, but there is no regulation screw or similar .
    Its the second machine with exact the same issue. Is this a known issue with this machines?, have someone the same problem??.

      "if you move it, it starts to lift", this is how the lifting motor needs to be replaced, however if you suspect it is a size issue, you can try disabling it with sp-5148-001 (size detection on/off)

          If i push the tray the Motor starts to lift... Even if the tray is open and i push the paper size selector on the right side

              its normal that you push with the finger the switch, the lifter motor run, check if rear plastic of tray 2 are deformed, and dont push well any switch...and disable for a test the sp detection size

                  I've had the size selector switch go flaky.
