how do you approach no WIM and printer not found with windows 11

i had an odd call where a machine installed 2 years ago and connected to 15 PCs and no issues,would not work on one PC.
I checked machine MPC3504EX and made sure wifi was off and anything odd.
machine is connected via cat5 cable.
I tried to install via windows and machine was not found and adding manually did not work either.
I tried to ping IP address and reply all worked.
I then try logging on via WIM and nothing came up.
I have a 2nd machine just for the accnt and PC found it and printed no issues.
I had to cut my time due to dr appnt but need to revisit..

same antivirus is installed on all working PCs..

Since it can be pinged, my guess is that someone IP address restrictions on the MFP and that one PC is not in the allowed address range.

Late response however have you tried changing the ip address of the machine and restarting it completely after IP change?

Small to medium sized businesses can easily have 100+ network devices ( smart tv, computers, cameras etc) that can easily take the machine IP address. Copiers cannot always let you know when IPV4 is already in use.

if you try with "advanced ip scanner" free-tool, what see?...try to disconnect the lan cable on the mf, and rescan with this tool to verify if another device stolen the ip address, and what name it has

i agree with the others. sounds like something else is using that IP address. unplug the copier and then ping that IP address. if you get a response then something else is using that IP address. but if you printed from one PC to it, but it won't print from another PC. then something somewhere is blocking it on that PC. could be a software someone installed, maybe they shouldn't have. i had seen antiviruses block it, because some also have a firewall. sometimes the customer installs a software and then forgets they installed it. try giving it a higher range IP address. without knowing their IP scheme. for instance if it is 192.168.1.1 bump the last octave up to say 249. making the IP address 192.168.1.249. usually if something on the network grabs an available IP it grabs the first low number.

My comment are based on an assumption that the device has a fixed IP address and is not under the DHCP locked in IP address mode.
If it is fixed IP address, my first option will be to try changing it to DHCP and rebooting the device.
With the reboot it shall take a new IP address and you can try to test the device with the new IP on WIM/print.
However, if the IP address remains the same you may use a crossover network cable to connect direct to device network port(removing from the LAN cable) with your Laptop/notebook and do the required tests.
After testing everything is as per your requirement you may want to login the antivirus admin console and check its settings else check device network port (pcb) for troubleshooting.

after holiday break i returned and got WIM to show up but printing still had an issue.
For some reason windows solution was machine had to be made defalt on this PC..
They have a small brother printer on desk.
that seemed to do it..
