Ricoh Toners

Hi,

Someone familiar with THS toners?
We use them sometimes but it given a lot of problems lately
errors such as "undetectable", when customer pulls out the toner cartridge, it leaks resulting in a (very)dirty machine !
especially the MPC307 model and IMC300's

Also IMC2000-C3000's.
Customer not happy and complains about this.

Anyone the same experiences?

Not familiar with that brand, but you've been around here long enough to know how the vast majority of us feel about compatibles.
I mean what are you even asking here? The toners are obviously $hit, and you seem to be looking for some sort of miracle fix for that $hit

We only use genuine toners and spare parts. The only exceptions are waste toner containers.
From THS you can also order genuine toners. It's a little cheaper than from the manufacturer.

just had the same issue this week. our other office put generic toners into the ricoh. she didn't notice it wasn't from ricoh. that caused a very loud grinding sound. and when i removed it, put the actual ricoh toner in the copier, it wouldn't even recognize the true ricoh toner. pulled the ricoh toner out of that copier. put it back into the ricoh copier that i borrowed it from. then that ricoh wouldn't recognize it had its own ricoh toner installed. the fix for that issue for it to recognize its own toner. shut the copier down, unplugged it from both ends. pressed the power button to release residual power. and left it unplugged for 30 min.. after reboot boot it said oh hey i am a ricoh and i have ricoh toner. generic toners are bad business. and only cost you more money and causes more issues in the long run. oh hey i am saving a couple hundred bucks now. oh but wait until you pay a couple thousand bucks to repair the issues that generic toner caused down the road. my original copier that the generic toner messed up. i am still fighting with it to get it fixed. i am about to the point where it is just gonna be a parts machine..... death to the generics.

Best option is complaining with an issue description/pics and finally return any of that crap you have in storage asap.

I have nothing but bad things to say about non Ricoh toner and I have had nothing but issues with them. Many years ago, I had a customer that had a MPC 2051. After about $3000 in repair bills because his PCDU's didn't make it half way on expected yield, he got the message that non Ricoh toner = bad news.

I know locally that we will charge through the nose for a machine that has a service agreement that the customer attempted to use non Ricoh toner and is having issues.

The black can be somewhat questionable.

If you are trying color, forget it. Issues WILL happen. It is just a matter of time and PCDU life is severely shorten.

You could also just use toner powder from similar models like the MPC2000 and you can find them online for less than compatibles.

I think that won't work. The fusing temperature, and therefore the melting point of the toners, is much lower on new models than on older machines.

You have to be really careful with this. Not only the melting point, but the grain size of the toner matters. (smaller grain = better resolution-quality, etc). Trying to run chunky toner through a machine that is designed for a smaller grain is going to result in a huge mess from a tech standpoint of view when the bigger stuff clogs everything up and the machine "fuzzy logic" has issues trying to read it correctly.

that looks like KATUN toner and total shit toner/...
there is a lot of bad chinese toners out there..
i try to stay with TOMOEGAWA from Japan if i am doing cartridges...
