    [CQ] Aficio MP4002

Customer called with smearing but left no samples. Based on conversation getting prints out where toner is not fusing to paper. This unit is used mostly as a printer. Not sure if issue happens when copying which I saw in the 1035/2035 when copy was made before fuser had completed warm up. Copier is used but apparently has periods of non use. Guessing after such periods is when this issue occurs. What would allow a print job to start before fuse reaches full temperature???
    Thanks!!!

Sounds to me like one of the most routine/ basic service calls there is.
Why have you not even gone to assess what is MOST likely just routine maintenance?
What makes you think that the fuser doesn't need rebuilding - specifically the fuser?

You could also try enabling Fuser idling if the issue only happens on the first few pages

The ideal is to go, do maintenance and you will know what to do.
With the cold that it is getting in the north, it is normal that first impressions do not fit well.
You should enable idling fusing (1103) I think,
and put a preheat of 10 seconds maybe

From the Product Support Guide"My experience is that room temperature needs to be above the lower limit or at least half an hour, better yet an hour, or you will have problems.
