    [Misc] Ricoh fd3010 folding unit

Does anyone know what the differences are between ricoh FD3010 and FD3020? And will the FD3010 work in the IM C3510?

In the past, some options differed only in the color of the covers, but worked without any problems in the successor models. I would give it a try.
I don't care about who your father is, as long as I'm fishing here, you won't walk on water.

Yeah I know, I was just hoping someone had done it before I order one for a customer. Thank you.

Download the parts catalogs from rfg-esource and compare them. If the covers are the only thing that is different, you're in. The only other item that would not be a big problem is the firmware on the eeprom. Sometimes you can firmware update module to correct it or just order the pone in the parts catalog.

Why would you order the one that doesn't fit?

Usually with finishers for Ricoh, fitting is not the problem. Compatible electronics package is.

I've used configurator. I've done all those things. I have a customer with budget constraints and wanted to know if anyone has tried using the 3010 in place of the 3020. Because i don't have a machine in shop to test it on and i don't want to test it in the field.
