    SC 663 IM 9000

    Hello ,

I often have SC 663 on a IM 9000. First, I update the copier. Second, I Change the IOB (said in the manual)... and the code appears again... Did you already have this problem ?

    Re: SC 663 IM 9000

A tech told me the knowledge base says to replace the RYB PCB24.

replacing PCB24 could be plausible, on SC663 the manual talks about "noise" injected into the IOB, PCB24 has relays, which if malfunctioning or with bad contact can create disturbances in the signals.
personally I would also try the entire transfer unit, famous for producing electrical noise in various models

At my client's, I have 2 IM 9000... first, I try to change the PCB24... Next I try to reverse all components on the 2 copiers (Fusing unit, transfert, PCU, dev) but I have the same problems...

really a bad problem!..then on an expensive machine and logistically difficult to replace!...try to operate the machine with the door open, to see if the SC still occurs, I also suspect some faulty switch, I would like to understand in which phase of operation the error occurs,, years ago I went crazy on an sp810 for a stupid switch that gave a SC99x (something), and in the manual it said "cross signal error"....(now I know exactly what it meant)..lol

LOL, this machine gave SC663-00 on the day of installation, replaced I/O board, then same code came back almost a year later, machine doesn't work hard, only did 300k so far, service manual is very vague on what the issue could be, doubt it can only be the I/O board

Sometime the sc663 occurs when I close the door too strong... but not always I think it can be a fautly switch
