sc101 could be as simple as dirty optics or white plate.
sc541 is indeed thermistors, usually a gentle clean and reset solves this
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

If there's a problem in the polygon mirror motor the machine would give an SC320 call.

          re: sc101 aficio 1060

          The machine is on.
          Occur an Sc543 (PSU,BCU defective)
Note: the black bands are 4.5cm well defined or sometimes difused)
There are various problems at the same time.
Is it the Power Supply Unit PCB the first cause of all?

          Thank you.

change the center thermistor and thermostat... be sure that you plug your machine at correct input voltage 220/110.... sc 101 veryfy all you touch harness perhaps you miss out one of them to put correctly... if you we have new flat harness and regulator for lamp....
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Try to replace B065 5195 VIB Board. I had the same problem with a 6000 and was the VIB board. It will be helpful to post a sample. In my case was dense lines just on copies.

Your copy quality problems have to be scanner related if printer output is OK. The attatchment is for sc101.

                      Damn.
I'm sitting here looking at a copy of your example. What happens if you lay the original on the glass and make a copy?

                        Hello mikadonovan:

It may happen the shifting of the bands. Sometimes well defined, othertimes difused. In one ocasion the copy was good (without bands)

                        thank you.

If you lay the original on the glass and leave the document feeder open and make several copies, is your scanner movement smooth and performing a full 11x8 1/2 scan each time? You may have already done this, but I am just trying to eliminate the possibilty of a mechanical malfunction with the scanner. Also when you do this does your lamp brightness stay steady or flicker?

Could it be possible that one of your mirrors is missing it's securing clips and is just floating around in the light source unit? I ask this because the problem characteristics change between scans.
