    mpc 4500 jamming

i have an mpc 4500 thats jamming only when u do a long run. about 20 plus it will jam. always seems to jam inthe same place just before entering th fuser unit. when i drop down the right hand side door the paper just falls down curled. paper is not crunched in any kind of way.

jam code is 19. which is the fuser exit sensor.

added a fresh ream of paper and still the same.

jams from all the trays. cleaned the roller and sensors.

i believe its gonna be something to do with the fuser unit. evanthough its done about 400k.

Adjust the entrance guide to the fuser. Also, make sure that the fuser is sitting correctly in the machine.Have seen the frame get bent where it sits and cause the same jam code.

Check when you can and post back what you find.

Does the machine have a finisher? If yes then check the door magnets on the right hand side door of the bridge unit.
I have had an issue where the magnet are not strong enough and the cover opens causing a jamming fault.
These magnets have been modified to be stronger.

Just an FYI, I have had several bridge unit jams also. However when that causes the problem, you get a jam at power on. When customers complain about alot of jams but they don't show in the jam log, check the at power on jams.

I agree, the door switches on the bridge unit are suspect and bounce, especially when using heavier paper.

Check the contact on the separation plate. Bend it if nessesary. (Bad contact make jams after 20-30 copies, statics charges are not removed completly)

i came across this same fault on another machine recently and i adjusted the fuser entrance guide which improved a little bit but still jams after 20-30 copies. i changed a whole fuser unit fromanother machine second hand and it made no difference. its a jam 19 fusing exit on. when i open the right hand door to remove the paper jam, i can see the paper from the fuser unit dropping down. can anyone help me on this.
