1902-1 should be reset to 0 and the rest should be left at their default.

Once you reset that code to 0, you will have to shut the machine off then back on for the machine to 'see' the change.

Some of the really early firmware had Web problems.

Try setting the 1902-1 to 1

Is the web unit plugged in ?

Maybe the sensor for web end on the web unit is not working either from a bad sensor or the actuator not being right.

Hmmm, if you've reset the counter back to 0, and power-cycled the machine, there must be a bent pin or bad sensor.

I believe that the firmware made an adjustment in the timing so that the motor did not turn faster than the internal counters, causing a premature 550.

Make sure that the sensor flag is completely out of the sensor. I've had some not move very well over time and the spring can cause some problems as well.

There were multiple symptoms - Some machines the motor would run more than it was supposed to (sometimes it would not stop and run out a web almost instantly) Sometimes the counter would not update properly and you would get a 550 with the web properly consumed, but only showing 15% on the counter, and sometimes the counter would not reset properly.

I only mentioned this because its an odd problem, and odd problems have unlikely solutions - so its unlikely a machine with firmware that old is only now exhibiting symptoms, but as you know, given enough time anything with a non-zero probability of occurring will eventually rear its ugly head...
